6-18 month Classes

Ten Little Fingers: Sign language, sing, and play!

Tuesdays 9:30-10:15am; semester or year-long (6-18 months)

Give your child the gift of earlier communication! Through song and movement, your child and parent or caregiver will be introduced to the world of ASL (American Sign Language).

For pre-verbal children, Sign Language can empower a little one as young as 6 months to communicate their needs, alleviating frustration for the caregiver and child alike.

For verbal toddlers, learning ASL can enhance vocabulary and language skills, while boosting brain development. Children will be introduced to signs to express concepts such as: “I’m hungry/thirsty;” “More, please!” “All done!” “I hurt myself;” “I’m tired;” “I need a new diaper;” and more.

Each class will include snack and a fine-motor play component.

Monday/Wednesday  9:30-11am

This is a year-long, gradual separation class designed to expose children to preschool and to provide a bridge between “classes” and school. Children are encouraged to explore, create and grow in a small, warm and nurturing community. Our experienced educators guide this process and design an age-appropriate curriculum that includes opportunities to develop skills across all areas of learning. An introduction to Jewish traditions, celebrations and holidays are carefully woven into the program.
